• A small family château. This
little château and outbuildings were built at the end of the 18th
century for the Governor of Vierzon, and purchased shortly afterwards
by Madame Dupin de Francueil, George Sand’s grandmother.
• A famous writer worth rediscovering.
Born Aurore Dupin in 1804, George Sand lived from her writing and won
her independence. She separated from her husband and defended women’s
rights in her works, and took part in the 1848 revolution.

What people think about it J'ai découvert cette maison il y a plus de 20 ans, j'en suis ressortie "habitée" et depuis George Sand n'a plus quitté plus ma vie. Cet endroit est extraordinaire, l'âme et l'esprit de son illustre propriétaire sont toujours là. C'est difficile à exprimer mais allez à Nohant et vous comprendrez ! Bonne visite.
Marcher sur les pas de George Sand et de Chopin, quelle sensation étrange et magnifique ; j'aurais aimé rester enfermée dans ce lieu !!! Aujourd'hui, je me sens différente, serais-je envoutée ?
